11/2: Masquerade at Moulin Rouge at the Nevada Museum of Art

Help us celebrate the opening of chez louie at the Nevada Museum of Art during Masquerade at Moulin Rouge Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. Step into the wild streets of belle epoque Paris, where artists and aristocrats alike fill cabarets to watch dancers perform the cancan, drink absinthe, find love and inspiration. Celebrate the grand opening of Mark’s new French-inspired restaurant and the premiere of the Museum’s Toulouse-Lautrec & La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880 – 1910. Costumes are encouraged and tickets are available now for $40 (NMA members) and $50 (non-members) at NevadaArt.org. Complimentary champagne and French-themed desserts are included.

11/2 Fantasies in Chocolate

Visit us at the annual Fantasies in Chocolate fundraiser Nov. 2 at the Grand Sierra Resort. This black-tie wine tasting and chocolate sampling event features a Roaring Twenties theme and tickets are available now for $65 in advance. VIP tickets including dinner are also available starting at $150.

11/11 Harvest Dinner at Adeles

Mark joins chef Charlie Abowd at Adele’s in Carson City for the fourth annual Celebrity Chef and Harvest Dinner. The farm-to-table dinner features local produce and meat from Nancy’s Green Barn Farm, Holley Family Farms, Glorious Garlic Farm, Churchill Butte Farms, Alpen Sierra Coffee Company and The Greenhouse at Carson High School, paired with top-shelf wines. Limited tickets are available at Adele’s or by calling 775-232-8626. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

11/12 Osso Bucco Throwdown with Buona Sera

Mark puts his osso buco skills to the test during a throw down with Buona Sera Executive Chef Francesco Gazzana. Join these two top chefs for a four-course dinner including bruschetta, salad with fennel and apples, osso buco and dessert. Osso bucco judges are RGJ Food Editor Johnathan Wright, Troy Phillips, Owner of Battle Born Wines, and Cynthia Ferris-Bennett, owner of Events, Ink. Limited tickets are available for $60 each.
