I am not sure about you, but wow the Holiday season came and went like a twister touching down here and there. Some calm, some turbulence and some eye of the storm times when you just knew it was about to get wild. I woke up this morning and the last 3 weeks feel like they took 2 years to go by. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I did have a very nice Christmas eve and Christmas day, but it was right back at it the next day. The restaurants were all so busy and we are all so grateful for that in so many ways. I spent some time cooking in Tahoe and drove through Truckee each morning and late at night. Up and down the hill we go. All this Holiday music, people shopping in stores, sales, more sales, commercials, bowl games, movies, just plain overload and over doing it.

I have always wanted to have traditions, I love ritual, I love to look forward to things that repeat. The day to day of life is anything but normal for me, so the idea of having something to look forward to for the Holiday’s makes sense. Well that is until the Holiday’s come, then I forget about the need to establish these traditions and another year passes. Kinda like I am in a daze, a Holidaze. This year I did manage to start 2 new traditions and the challenge will be on me to repeat these next year. Progress, I like to see that. That is all I can ask for! I hope you all had a great Holiday and are ready for an amazing 2015!
